Born and raised in the Canadian prairies, Josh found his calling early on,influencedd by a diverse range of musical icons spanning rock, blues, pop and beyond.

Alongside his band mates Andrew Kulcsar , David Put and Victoria Perras, the band promises to put on an unforgettable live performance that you don't want to miss.

Stay tuned for Josh Daly's upcoming EP due out in 2024.

As a class, musicians are known as foulmouthed, irreverent, drunken creatures. Someone didn't give Jaryn Friesen that memo.

Friesen, born and raised in Steinbach, MB, is only 28 but his music packs the richness of a writer decades his senior.

Friesen's sound is raw, honest and pulls no punches, which makes the tunes feel like talking with an old friend. His grovel-y voice with just the right amount of drawl sings of yearning for some place, some time elsewhere and hits familiar tones and themes which make it feel like coming home. It's Americana with small town angst.

Inspiration from storytelling troubadours like Townes Van Zandt, Willie Nelson, Gus Clark and American Aquarium help to create periods of reflection, both of oneself and the world around them.

Whether it be childhood, religion, or mental health and addiction, Friesen’s lyrics are deep and contemplative. In any event, Friesen gets what it means to be the man who knows how to talk about his feelings.

Coming off a busy 2023 that saw him travel over 30,000KM touring and performing at venues and festivals across North America, he was also nominated for several awards and saw past singles catapult across Canadian radio. Jaryn is only getting started.

All Folk'd Up is excited to announce our first artist of our 2024 festival season, Eliza Mary Doyle !

No stranger to the #afu scene, Eliza has been to our festival in many configurations before, and we excited to have this banjo rocking star hit our stage with her band!

Bright, feisty, and fierce, this banjo playin’ troubadour of exceptional talent and vision has been gracing stages around the world for the past 20 years with her spontaneous and contagious energy.

She is a Juno and International Award winning artist who, together with her band can be described as “sweet as honey and raw as hide”.

Her past discography goes back to 2003, and since then, she's recorded on 23 albums, toured Canada, the US, Europe and the UK extensively, and crafted her musicianship to rise in excellence as a leader in this province as a banjo player, performer, teacher and songwriter.

Recently, she has developed important programming for Saskatchewan's under-served and remote communities. Along with co-founder Holly Yuzicapi, CAMP (which stands for Community Arts Mentorship Program) is strengthening communities through music and arts mentorship. Currently, Doyle spends her time between the north and Nashville, and is continually working on new music and inspiring those around her.

The Steadies aren't invited to the party - they ARE the party. Mixing the explosively popular pop-rock genre with rocksteady and reggae influences, The Steadies have created a signature sound they've dubbed, 'island rock.' Their latest releases, a series of three EPs, are an ode to the band's rocksteady roots and offer an electrifying collection of radio-worthy originals and rock-out party songs.

The Steadies' frontman Earl Pereira got his rock n' roll pedigree as a founding member of the blues-driven rock band Wide Mouth Mason, who had three gold records, three JUNO nominations, and a host of other accolades and awards. Named one of Canada's top bass players by Canadian Musician Magazine, Pereira has toured the world, having performed over 3500 shows and opening for iconic artists like the Rolling Stones and AC/DC. In 2010, Pereira left Wide Mouth Mason to focus on his band on the rise, The Steadies.

Ever the road warriors, The Steadies play upwards of 100 shows each year, making them one of the busiest bands from the Canadian Prairies.

You can see why #afu is ecstatic to have The Steadies in our lineup!
