Our Story

The seed was planted in 2007 when the Fournier and Deringer sisters, families rooted in Montmartre, ventured on a road trip to The Winnipeg Folk Festival. The six women were captivated by the music, camaraderie, and culture during that weekend, sparking a vision. Inspired by a visit to Montmartre Saskatchewan, Marie Anne envisioned bringing a similar festival to Kemoca Regional Park near her hometown. In 2008, when Marie Anne settled in Montmartre, she rallied her old WFF travel companions, and the festival idea began to take shape. By July 2010, the dream blossomed with the 1st Annual All Folk’d Up in Montmartre Folk Festival, graced by around 650 attendees. Through the years, the festival evolved, expanding to over 15 performances across different musical genres. As the festival gears up for its 14th year, the organizers aim to sell over 700 tickets and showcase the extraordinary talent of rural Saskatchewan. Life is indeed good at All Folk’d Up. Come on over and share the experience!
